葉山・森戸海岸のUNDER THE PALMO（アンダー ザ パルモ）は5周年を記念し、「葉山の青春」写真展を開催します。
先年UNDER THE PALMOで二度に亘り開催して大好評を博した「チャールズ・ユンカーマン写真展・葉山風光」と同じく、1950年代初頭の葉山の姿、とりわけ戦後間もない夏の森戸海岸に集う人々を撮影した写真展を開催いたします。
水着コンテスト、竜宮祭り、パレード、遊技場など今では夢や幻の世界がそこには広がっていました。
今回、AI技術を用いてモノクロ写真のカラー化を行い、当時の映像をより鮮明に再現することが出来ました。
葉山町政100周年（2025年）と同写真集の出版を記念するイベントとして、UNDER THE PALMOにて初の開催となりますので是非ご来場ください。

5th Anniversary Exhibition

In celebration of its 5th anniversary, UNDER THE PALMO, located along the Hayama and Morito coasts, will host a special photo exhibition titled “Hayama’s Youth.”
This exhibition follows the success of last year’s “Charles Junkerman Photo Exhibition – Hayama Scenery,” which captivated audiences with its vivid portrayal of Hayama. On this occasion, the focus shifts to life in Hayama during the early 1950s, particularly the vibrant summer gatherings on the Morito coast in the years following the war.
The exhibition will showcase nostalgic scenes of events such as swimsuit contests, Ryugu festivals, parades, and lively playgrounds, capturing the dreamlike and enchanting atmosphere of that era. Leveraging advanced AI technology, these monochrome photographs have been meticulously colorized, bringing the past to life with unprecedented clarity.
This exhibition also serves as a commemorative event marking the 100th Anniversary of Hayama Town Governance (2025) and the publication of a new photobook. We warmly invite you to experience this journey through time.
